Real estate investor and developer Paul M. Coury, president of Coury Properties, announces the creation of the Coury Collection, a professional services consultancy dedicated to the development and management of luxury boutique hospitality properties.

The Coury Collection will offer consulting services to property owners or investors considering hotel development plans. With more than 30 years of combined hospitality-related experience, The Coury Collection team offers a broad range of hospitality development and operations expertise.

The first hotel developed by Coury was Tulsa's Hotel Ambassador, a 55-room boutique destination recognized by Conde Nast Traveler with a "mark of excellence" and cited on the National Register of Historic Places. Opened in the fall of 2006, the 108-room Colcord Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City is one of the newest additions to the Coury Collection boutique hotel portfolio.

The Coury team is skilled in all facets of property development - feasibility studies, land acquisition, design consulting, construction, pre-opening sales, FF&E purchasing and staff development. Clients renovating an existing hotel, considering purchasing a hotel, or exploring the viability of retrofitting a building for hospitality purposes can seek the services of Coury on all or only a portion of their needs.

Coury has a proven track record of turning around distressed properties. He has overseen more than 20 redevelopment projects in Oklahoma. Additionally, the company has provided asset management services for a $200 million hotel and golf course portfolio spread across the United States and designed three gated residential communities. He stepped into the boutique hotel market in 1997 when he breathed life into the abandoned and gutted Ambassador site. Immersing himself in the project, Coury planned every detail - from logo to tapestries - for continuity of theme throughout the Sullivan-esk landmark.
